Fire Sprinklers Save Lives

As of January 27th, 2009, Bill HB 2267 has been passed through the beginning stages of becoming a law.  This bill prohibits any town, city, municipality or county to mandate the installation of fire sprinkler systems in single family residences.  It has gone through the Government Committee, and is on its way to the Rules Committee.   Those of us who are concerned about the safety of new communities and about public safety in general, we need to initiate action toward redirecting this bill and deterring it from becoming a law.

Fact: Fire sprinklers save lives!!

If you know your district number, you can go to this link to find out your representative's contact information, or if you don't know what district you're in, go here and enter in your zip code.  You can call, fax, or email your district's representative, and voice your concerns about this bill.

By collectively contacting these people, registering to be counted as a valid vote in the House (which can be done by visiting the Capitol in person), and by educating those who are either uninformed or misinformed about fire sprinkler systems, we can turn this bill around and negate its passage as a law.
